If you’ve been following my work for any given amount o time, you’ve probably realized one of my favorite backdrops for photo shoots any kind of cold/unforgiving environment. I’m sure there are some folks out there who think my work is about people succumbing to the environment and chose to see my photos as sad/depressing (I say this because occasionally I get asked questions along these lines). 

I view my work as quite the opposite. It’s meant to be more about living in harmony with the environment, and yes, that even includes icy cold environments (Hint: “environment” can be taken in both a literal and metaphorical context). Cold environments are a struggle. I’m not trying to say anything otherwise. But being in the elements, and in the moment, and surviving, adds a hope to the struggle. Anyway, here are a few favorites from a recent snowy outting with Eva (IG: @earthy.eva).
